Arnel L. Monroe Scholarship

The Arnel L. Monroe Scholarship is established by the Hickman Touchdown Club and the Class of 2006.  It is given in memory and appreciation of this former Hickman alumni, educator, football coach and mentor.  Coach Monroe promoted diversity, community, athletics and above all academics.  As a Kewpie Alumni, he valued and respected others through education, friendship, and service.  His acceptance of all people made him a friend to many at Hickman High School, within CPS and the Columbia community.  He was a true representation of the Kewpie Spirit.

 

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to two different graduating Hickman High School Seniors.  To be eligible for the scholarship you must be actively involved in at least one extracurricular activity, making satisfactory academic progress (2.7 GPA or higher), be considered good a citizen both within the school and the community, display a Kewpie spirit, and have aspirations and plans to continue your education after graduation.
